Sunny September Fun!!

A couple Sundays ago we headed into the zoo and had a fabulous day.  I think this is the 6th time I've been to the zoo since the penguins have come and I still haven't been in the building - not willing to wait 30+ minutes to see them.  The animals were all roaming around.

One morning before church Tim sat down with the boys.  A very rare occasion these days to see Tim in the house while the boys are awake!

Yesterday we headed to Crimson Lake to hang out with some friends and to enjoy one last day on the jetskis. BUT.... the ramp was closed and we weren't able to put the jetskis in the water. The plus side was that we had the beach entirely to ourselves and had a blast just hanging out.

It looks like Kale pushed Connor over but really Connor just fell over.

Buddie has become an adopted Uncle to the boys.  They both adore him.

I love our Sundays of rest!!

Harvest Bounty

We have been so blessed to have such a lovely September.  Minus a few breakdowns harvest has gone smoothly.  Now that we have a hired hand I'm missing the occasional afternoon of combining.

Tim hates getting his picture taken but I love this one.  Both combines dumping grain and Tim looking down on it.
 Harvest sunsets are breathtaking...
Before they swathed the wheat I took the boys out to get a few shots.

Kale did NOT want to cooperate, hence the tear in this picture.  You can tell I was more focused on my child than the surroundings...A couple big wild oats in the corner!!!

We have truly been blessed this fall and as Thanksgiving is approaching I find myself adding daily to my list of things I'm grateful for.

A Wonderful Day!

Yesterday was the annual Terry Fox Run.  Last year Connor and I did it together finishing it hand in hand.  So this year the plan was to do it together again - just a mom and son thing to do.  With harvest going full swing now we see Tim for about 30 minutes everyday.  The boys are starting to not want to be with daddy cuz they never see him.  So when Tim woke up yesterday morning he said he and Scoot would join us for the 10 km run.  So we all headed to Water Valley.  Tim hasn't run any distance since we did the night run in Banff in 2007 and he ran the 10 km no problem - makes me sick.  We had a great time just being a family.  The boys rode in the stroller for about 9 km and then we all ran the last bit together.  It was a fabulous start to a wonderful day.  Thank you to all that sponsered us.
