Karbear

Here is our little one. The tech had some difficulty getting pictures and measurements cuz the baby was moving around too much. I really wanted to find out what it was but Tim was dead against it. I can't keep a secret from Tim so I knew I couldn't find out. The heart rate was about 140. At my doc appt last week he couldn't find the heart rate cuz it was moving around too much. With all the moving this one is doing I don't feel much of it. Although this morning Tim was able to feel some movement. We are both getting a feeling that this little one is another boy. In another 22 weeks I guess we will find out. Arm
Foot

Just relaxing finally.

The other day I was canning peaches and making jam. I had to distract Connor somehow so this is what he got to do.
I had some fruit left over so I made some pies. My little man had to help me!!

Yesterday we met my mom and dad, brother and his family at Elbow falls for a beautiful afternoon. Connor usually takes a while to warm up to my family. But yesterday he wanted mama's arms right away and dad was able to carry him without a struggle.

We took a hike outisde of bounds and got a good view of the falls.

Elbow river down stream.

I don't often get pictures of me and Connor. Connor loved Uncle Bri and had lots of smiles for him.

Connor and Ben having fun together. Bri and Shari are expecting at the end of March. So exciting!!!!!

It is bad when....

Yes I have come to the conclusion that I don't much like August this year. The other day Connor & I went for a walk down the lane. His favorite thing to do now. I loves walking on the cow trail next to the road, or picking clover flowers for me, or just running through grass that is taller than he is. But the other day I had to put on his touque and mits. I can't believe that in August we are wearing jeans, socks, and sweaters. It just seems wrong. Tim has turned the furnace way down to like 16 or something. The other day was warmer so I had the windows open and left them open over night. The furnace came on!!!! Like we always say here.... ONLY IN ALBERTA.

5 Tri and 15 weeks

Sunday I completed my 5th sprint triathlon. I was a bit nervous about it as I am 15 weeks pregnant. But the doctor said I should be fine as long as I keep my heart rate under 150. God was a great copilot.
I had to check in at 8 and didn't swim till 9:30. So we killed some time at the park.
Me coming out of the pool. I was the first of the 10 swimmers out. But my lead was short lived during the bike. Pushing a wind on lots of hills slowed me down. I got up to 56 km/hr down hill but I had to slow down to 9 km/hr going up or my heart rate went too high.

Connor woke up from his nap wondering where I was.

Me coming in from my bike. My least favorite part. I forgot my bike helmet at home but a wonderful volunteer lent me hers.

Coming in from the run. I only had to walk once during the run due to my heart rate again. I thoroughly enjoyed the run. The weather couldn't have been better.

My little guy congratulating me.

Family Time

Haying has been going on for a little while now. After the first day of baling the stack collapsed. So Connor & I went to help them fix it. He got a little bored until I put some water in the lid. Man the kid loves water in any way it comes.
I can't believe how fast a week goes. Last weekend we had a family reunion at my parents place. My dad is from a family of 5 kids so it was all my aunts, uncles, cousins and their kids there. There were 8 kids under the age of 2 and 1 3 year old. So the trampoline was used well. Above Connor is scouting out my dad who is getting a water fight started.

Gavin (left) and Connor are two little trouble makers. They are 7 months apart and you can just see their little brains kick into mischief when they are together.

Gavin and Connor include their cousin Seth into the mischief!!

Owen and Gav being super cute. Gav and I are little buddies. My sister told me today that Gav stubbed his toe and Pam asked he wanted a hug he shook his head and said Aunty Kar hug. I love it.!!!

The weekend was so much fun. It seems that side of the family (most being farmers) only get together at weddings and funerals. This was a much needed weekend together.

This past week Connor spends every waking moment outside. Tim is working on an addition on the back deck with railing but it isn't finished yet. So Connor plays on the front deck with his pool (which has gotten smaller thanks to our little puppy visitor last week). I am continually amazed at the new things Connor is doing. I showed him once how to fill up his little container and water my flowers on the deck. Lets just say they are well watered now. Above he is filling the ice tea container - and as I watched him he rarely let a drop out of place. I couldn't believe it.
