Lexi is now 6 months, hard to believe. We had her shots a bit ago and she did great. She weighs 15 lbs and is about 27 inches long. She continues her long and lean status. 90% for height and head circumference and 15% for weight. She loves to eat. Her favorite is pear and rice cereal. She loves her jumper and she loves to squeal. Her squeal is a little to high pitched for Tim's bad ear. She is starting to play shy a bit and can sense when we have stepped out of the room. She adores her brothers. She has found her toes. Our favorite thing about her right now is her full mouth smile - which is a permanent fixture most days.

Swimming, Batman, and Cake
Yesterday was a busy day for this little guy. In the morning we had swimming lessons. I am so proud of how Connor has gained confidence in the water. A year ago he wouldn't put his head in the water. Now all he wants to do is swim under the water.
As soon as we got home we rushed to the arena to get ready for the skating carnival. The theme this year was romance on ice. His little group were batmans and catwomen.
Kale was quiet entertained by his snacks in his red bag. But Uncle Buddie was even better to play with.
Connor is the one in the back.
After their first group skate. Connor kept his eyes on the coach the whole time to make sure he was bowing at the right time.
His little group. He got to know the kids well by the end and was calling them his best friends.
Gliding away, flying to save Gothom city.
I think he had fun!!
Connor's cake this year. He is really into his dump trucks and and spends every moment he can in the sandbox - even with the snow 3 ft deep outside. Funny thing. Nobody, except us knew about his cake and the majority of his gifts were construction related.
Daddy hanging out with his girl.
My parents were able to come up for the carnival and stayed for cake. Tim's parents got home Thursday night. Connor had a great birthday party and couldn't stop smiling all night.

Happy Birthday Connor
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONNOR!!
It is hard to believe that 5 years ago we entered the adventure of parenthood. Connor you have been a blessing from day 1. You have grown into quite a fine little boy. I love watching you with your siblings. You love playing farm, balls, trucks, cops, and racing with Kale. As a result you have a little brother who thinks of you as a hero. Lexi loves it when you read to her and talk to her. You can always get her to smile the biggest.
You love playing with your buddies from church and having play dates with your friends. This past year you have played soccer, learned to skate, and have become a little fish in the water. You have always loved to run but this year you have took off. I love watching you learn new things. If your coach is talking your eyes are glued to him and you try your best to do what he just taught you. You are continually asking questions about letters, numbers, days of the week, how to spell this and that. I am a little anxious for you to start school next year but am excited to see what you will learn.
You love your grandparents and always very excited to visit Granny. You are always quick to give her a hug and make her day. You love visits down to Gram and Papa's not only to see them but to see your cousins. You have become quiet a helper for dad. I have been replaced as the gate opener cuz you can do it all by yourself now. You are a precious member of this family and we pray this next year will be full of adventures and memories.

Only with Brothers
The other day the boys decided to play with Lexi. Thank goodness she was in her jumper or she definitely would have been on the bottom of the dog pile. She just squealed in delight as her brothers slid into her full speed.
Then to quiet down Connor decided to read Lexi a book. It is adorable to watch and listen to.

A Little Bit of Lexi
I like to try and take pictures every month birthday. These are pictures of Lexi at 5 months. I know next week she will be 6 months but better late than never!!
She has a very infectious smile that charms everyone.
This month we have seen her develop a ton. She loves playing in her excersaucer and loves jumping in the jolly jumper. She loves to play with her brothers. Kale likes to bring all her stuffed animals out and play with her, while Connor loves holding her and giving her hugs and kisses.
She was on a good 4 hour schedule but in the last week she has started eating every 3 hours again. So I figure she must be going through a growth spurt and tried giving her solids the other day. She didn't think much of it.
She loves to play with plastic bags. I thought it would distract her enough to get lunch ready the other day but she still had to get her figures in the food.

A Little Stir Crazy
The kids and I have been staying indoors lots lately due to the freezing cold weather and Lexi's bad cold. So we have started doing scavenger hunts a lot lately. Yesterday we did a rainbow toy scavenger hunt - having to find toys to match the color of the rainbow. Notice all the green and red tractors? They had fun with this one but it was taking longer than the others we have done and they petered out.
