Happy Birthday Scoot. I can't believe you are already 2. You have filled our family with so much laughter, joy, and entertainment. You are always quick to offer a smile - even in the middle of having a 2 year old fit. I tell you that you need to use your nice words and instantly you smile and say please.
You adore your brother and copy everything he does. Today on our walk if Connor ran you ran, if Connor crawled you crawled, if Connor walked backwards you walked backwards. If Connor is out with daddy when you wake up from your nap you are lost without your playmate. The two of you are bestest buds and your dad and I pray that you will always keep this special friendship.
You love playing hockey and throwing balls around. You love climb on furniture and then see how far you can jump. You are a FISH is water - it kinda scares me but at the same time I'm glad you are comfortable in the water.
You love anything to do with farming. The other day you got to go with daddy on a gator ride and feed the bulls and you haven't stopped talking about it since. You love loading dominos in your trucks and while dumping them out saying "feed cows fines".
You have become very independent. More often than not you push my hand away and say "self" and then do whatever I was planning on helping you with. You love helping me in the kitchen and dumping the ingredients into bowls.
You are one friendly dude. Always saying hi to people and flashing your smile. The people that sit behind us in church don't ever get much out of it cuz your kinda distracting. You are quick to crawl onto anyones lap to read you a story especially if that story has animals in it. You are talking a storm up these days.
I can't wait to see what the year has in store for us. We pray that God will always be part of your life and that He'll give you good health and lots of blessings in the year to come.

It made us sad to miss your birthday, Kale, but please know how much we love you. We love that God has let us live close enough to you that we can see you develop and grow, learn and try new things, fail and learn and try again. There's so much ahead of you, but you've already left so much behind. You're not a baby anymore; you're not even a toddler anymore. You're a little boy and before we know it, you won't be little anymore. But I'm so glad you have a mommy and daddy who enjoy you at every stage you're at and that you have a brother who teaches you new things, is a good friend and loves you so very much. We're so happy that God blessed our family with you. Thank you Lord, for this precious child, and continue to protect him, and help each of us who bear the privilege and responsibility of raising him to look to you for guidance and teach him to love and honour you before all else.
