I know this a late post but I've been having issues with my blog.
Happy 3rd birthday Kale. Kale shares a birthday with my brother Dave. Dave loves having his birthday spread out as long as possible. It seems Kale does too. The weekend before his birthday my parents came up to celebrate. We couldn't celebrate without a cake so we made some lion cupcakes.
Kale you are a pure joy to have in our family. One of my favorite things about you is your smile. You flash it all the time. Unfortunately your eyes give away the secret you are trying to hide with your smile. Dad calls you a "piece of work" and you truly are. You are one of a kind. You adore your brother and love playing with him. Currently your favorite thing to do with him is wrestle. More often than not you pin your brother down. The two of you love to play trucks and farm. A day isn't complete without going downstairs and playing with your scooters, balls, and bouncy balls. The two of you can come up with some great games to play.
You love to run everywhere and your footsteps are never quiet. I always have to remind you that Lexi is sleeping and to tip toe down the hallway instead of stomping down. You tried skating this past year and you love "hockeying" and wish you had skating lessons with your brother. You love playing hockey downstairs with dad and watching dad play hockey.
You love to have order in things when it comes to farming. Everything has a place and purpose when you play farm. Animals are lined up in a row and only certain animals are allowed in the liner. Funny thing though - the pigs always are left in the box!! When you play with play dough you are quick to mix the colors. You love helping me in the kitchen. I am always tripping over stools left from helping me with something or other.
You have made some great friends at church. Since the new year you have been going to Sunday school and love it. Your brother is always there to help you with your project and to sit beside you and you wouldn't have it any other way. We started memorizing Bible verses this year and your memory surprises me. Sometimes I think you are older than you really are because you talk like you are 4.
Your day isn't complete if you don't get to help dad with chores. You loved cows when you were 1, then 2, and now 3. Anything to do with cows you love. I love watching you boys play cows. You are starting to really like doing puzzles. Although there are some days I feel like pulling my hair out because of what you did, I don't want you to ever change. You are a joy to have in the family and we all love you very much.

We celebrated Kale's birthday with Uncle Buddie and Aunt Janna as well Uncle Greg and his family with a monkey cake.
You adore your sister and always wanting to hold her. You are quick to get her soother if she is fussy. You love to lay down and play with her on her mat. You are often distracted at supper because you are too busy playing with her. You love to give her kisses. She adores both of you boys and often settles down when she is placed by you while you are playing.
