While we were at Fernie we took a morning to visit Island Lake Lodge and it's surrounding area. It was a gorgeous day for a walk. We had started off biking because the boys wanted to bike in the "mountains". But after about 2 minutes we parked our bikes and walked the rest of the way. The boys ran ahead of us and hid in the trees. Lexi loved looking for them and squealed when she found us. No risk of bears getting us!
This picture was actually taken the day before at our min golf outing.
Connor is such a sweet boy. He gives 110% in everything he does whether it be sports, school, friendships or family. I am touched by his compassion over and over again. He loves numbers and is very into time and weather. He is often up before anyone else and gets on my phone to check the weather. We just need to ask him and he'll tell us what possibility there is of rain and how hot it will be that day.
Kale is a mischievous monkey. He has a twinkle in his eyes that makes me second guess almost everything he does. He doesn't push himself like his brother but he is definitely passionate. Especially when it comes to farming. There is a perma grin on his face if he gets a chance to check cows on pasture.
Lexi Lynne is a goof. Many people ask me if I've noticed a difference between girl and boy. Until recently I've always said no. Lexi is so similar to Kale in everything - including the mischievous twinkle. She is starting to get the 2 year old attitude but she quickly melts my heart with her generous kisses. She is quick to befriend anyone around her. She has started to love playing with her babies and carrying her purse around.
The view from the lodge.
