I received this prayer request today through our churches prayer chain. My heart breaks for these parents and I would just ask that those reading this will take a moment to pray for this family. Thank you.
BETHEL PRAYER CHAIN:
FRIDAY Jan 30th Hello!
I just wanted to pass on a prayer request for some good friends of ours. Many of you probably know them and some of you may have already heard about this. Peter and Nicole Neufeld (we know them from PRBI) were expecting in May. Nicole went into labour yesterday and delivered a baby boy, Timothy David, weighing just over 1 pound at 25 weeks. The baby was flown from Grande Prairie to Edmonton yesterday and my sister Kate brought Nicole down as there was not room for her to fly with the baby.
Please pray for little Timothy David as he has a great struggle ahead of him. They say if he can make it through the next 2 weeks alright he has a good chance of survival without many ongoing issues apart from the regular preemie struggles. Please pray for Peter and Nicole as they process all that has happened and learn how to relate to their little guy without even being able to hold him. He has to remain in the hospital until at least his due date in May with a chance he could be transferred back to Grande Prairie in the last month. Peter & Nicole thankfully have a place to stay but pray that Peter can find a job in Edmonton for the time they are there.
In Him, Kirsten

SUNDAY, Feb 1st
Hello,Just a quick update. They discovered that Timothy has an infection, which is probably what caused his premature delivery. They had already started him on antibiotics because of the risk of infection so it was just a matter of narrowing it down to treat the right infection. The doctors say 2 out of 3 babies will survive the infection. So, please continue to pray that God will give him the strength to fight and live. I hope to write again with more news and an update on how Peter and Nicole are doing as well. Thank you for your prayers! in Him, Kirsten
