Update

These pictures are is reverse order, sorry. This past weekend we went down to my parents. We finished haying August 25. So the Earle family met at Little Bow not far from my parents for a relaxing Saturday.

Connor was just hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa.
Laura is helping Lane get up on the wake board. Lane did great.

Grandma and Connor having fun together. This peapod is the best thing for the beach.

During lunch Lane, Jesse and Damon enjoyed playing with Connor. It's funny; we live 1/2 mile down the road from them but we rarely see each other. I guess that is one of the downfalls of family farms - you don't always want to spend your days off with the people you work with.

Connor was really enjoying his nap down to mama and papa's.

My mom lent me a book series and quilting is the common thread throughout the story. After reading the first book I got motivated to work on our quilt. Tim just doesn't seem to have the time anymore to work on it so he gave me permission to do the sewing. I just about have all the pieces done. The next step will be to but it all together. Hopefully Tim will have time before harvest starts to help me put it together.

Our little guy turned 5 months last week. I think we can finally say he is sleeping through the night now. He has found his toes in the last couple of days. he has rolled from his back to his tummy a couple of times now. He has started to vibrate his lips together (I know that sounds funny but I don't know how else to describe it) He loves to tell stories still but now he has to squeal them. He still as skinny as ever. 3 month pants fall right off him still; however 6 month sleepers aren't long enough. He has inherited his long body from my dad.

Last week the county was digging the ditches out on the back road and asked if we wanted any clay. So they hauled 4 loads into our yard and Tim got a turn around built. I have wanted this from the beginning cuz it is hard to turn around if people are visiting and there is limited parking. So now we have it mostly done. It needs gravel but that'll have to wait till the fall when the farm rents a gravel trailer.

Summer is definitely coming to an end in our neck of the woods. The nights are getting shorter and the evenings are getting cooler. Connor has been sporting this hat that my sister-in-law's mom knit for him for our evening walks.
