Happy Birthday Connor

Oh how I love watching my boys play together.  They are having more and more fun together.  Connor you love playing with your brother.  As soon  as you hear him talking in his crib after a nap you bring a toy in for him and asking if he had a good nap.  In response Kale giggles and giggles.  You still think Kale is big enough to tackle and wrestle with; but after several trips to your room you usually figure it out - only to forget it the next day!

You always have a quick smile.  Playing balls on the stairs with daddy gets the biggest smile ever.  If we can't get you to finish  your supper we threaten to take away ball on the stairs and you quickly gobble everything up.  The eating department has improved greatly in the last year.  We had your annual check up last week and you finally hit 30 lbs.

Some of your favorite activities right  now are doing chores with the family, playing sticks with Sadie, jumping in puddles, playing balls with brother, cutting things, building things with blocks, racing your trucks up and down the hallway, playing games, and going to church.  Between moms Wednesday morning bible study, our Bible study on Friday and church you have made some wonderful friends.  You quite often list all  your friends  and ask when you get to see them again.  Although you are still very shy to new people you are getting better all the time.

I am amazed at how quickly you pick up on things.  Your little brain is a sponge and can remember lots of things like your abc song, counting to 13, recognizing certain letter in the alphabet.  This morning you saw a D on my vitamin bottle and you said D for dad and duck.

Although you are boy through and through your gentle spirit shines out to me daily.  One minute we are wrestling and then I might say ouch.  You stop and ask me if everything is ok.  You can pick up on my sad days better than anyone can and are quick to offer a  hug or kiss to make me feel better.

I hope you had a wonderful birthday this year and that God will bless you in the year to come.  I love you Connor,
