You couldn't ask for a much nicer winter morning than today. It was gorgeous! To start the day off we helped Tim do the farm chores. The boys found some bales that they could watch from and enjoyed it all. Kale tried to pet a cow (who was in a pen) and she started pawing the ground. It scared him a bit.
Next we had to chase some pairs down below so our job was to turn them in the right direction. While they waited the boys had fun playing on the quad ramp!
This is PET. There are 2 cows the boys look for when we feed them - Pet and Mrs. Roan (my cow). Connor instantly saw pet come out of the pen and told to get a picture.
Gotta love the view!
Next we did our gator chores. This is Kale's FAVORITE part of the day. He has his spot in between the two seats and bosses us all around telling us which bucket to use and which pen to feed. Tim has nicknamed him our Gator Foreman!
We then spent the rest of the morning bringing calves out of the feedlot to a smaller pen. My boys were in heaven. At lunch time my face felt like it was sun burnt a bit. I love our Alberta sunshine!
