The heifers are wrapping up their calving but the cows have started full on. So that means barn chores are an everyday thing. Again, Kale is in his element helping any way he can. He even picked up a pitch for and started cleaning out the barn on his own! The other day we all tagged along.....
Watching to make sure Daddy's tagging the calf right. Kale and Connor check to see if the calf is a heifer or a bull and then get the appropriate color tag to give to dad. A "she" calf gets a red ear tag and a "he" calf gets a yellow tag.
Lexi likes cows almost as much as Kale. But she wasn't so sure about getting in the pen with a calf her size; so she just inspected.
Lexi got caught in front of Tim when he was moving a calf to a new pen. It was quiet funny to watch.
