Our Year of Skating has come to a Close

Yesterday was our skating carnival.  Connor was skating to Puttin' on the Ritz and looked so handsome in his vest and red tie.  Kale was skating to kung fu fighters and dressed as a ninja.  They have both improved so much this year; I am one proud mamma.
Kale took very tentative steps when he first started and took him about 10 min to get to the center of the ice.  Today during the year end skate a thon he was pushing with both feet, gliding in between and going from one end to the other with the biggest smile on his face.
Connor has gained a ton in steadiness (not falling down when he gets going too fast).  He whips around corners with cross overs, has improved immensely in backward skating and can turn around super fast without loosing a beat.  At the skate-a-thon today he was two foot turn frontwards to backwards with almost the same speed both directions.  I had fun racing him to the end and playing tag with him.  I was working up a sweat playing with him.
