Well our little girl is officially 2. Lexi is a joy to have in our family and has each of us twisted around her little finger. She loves anything purple, so that is what inspired the flower cupcake cake. The kids all love being in the garden with me and anytime we find a lady bug the boys put it on Lexi's arm.
Lexi you charm anyone around you and quickly make friends wherever you go. You scare me a little bit with how friendly you are in large unknown places.
You absolutely love the farm. Anytime the boys go with daddy you are quick to get your shoes on and head to the door. Maybe in 6 months you can hang out with daddy more on the farm. You caught wind yesterday that daddy was going to chase cows in the afternoon. You wouldn't settle down until I told you that you could go chase cows with daddy.
Your vocabulary astounds me for a two year old. You have quite the conversations with Grandma.
One day we were coming into her house:
Grandma: Hi Lexi
Lexi: Hi!
Grandma: How are you today?
Lexi: Good
and then you went in and played.
Yesterday:
Grandma phoned the house and I was busy and didn't answer it. But you did.
Grandma: Hello?
Lexi: Geg?(Greg)
G: No this is Grandma, can you get me your mommy
Grandma heard a bunch of buttons being pushed and then
Lexi: Dumb phone!
You keep up just fine with your brothers. You run/skip everywhere. You love riding your bike down the pad with the boys and riding scooters in the shop. Even when there are 4 big boys on the trampoline you are not intimidated-you just jump along. You are a little fish - you intentionally go under the water and kick and when you've had enough you push yourself up. You catch onto things quickly.
You love your babies: pushing them in strollers, putting them to bed, wrapping them in blankies, or hauling them around wherever you go. You love reading books and your favorites right now are Little Blue Truck, I love my Daddy, Brown Bear Brown Bear, and a animal hide and seek book.
Your smile still charms anyone within its radius.
We celebrated your birthday with everyone this past Sunday. It was strange to have an outdoor birthday party because your brothers birthdays are both in the winter. We love you very much Lexi.
Also on Sunday we participated in the Terry Fox Run. We biked it, and yes the boys biked the whole 10 km on their own. The route was quite hilly and the boys killed it. Little Kale was an energizer bunny and just kept going and going and going. Before we biked, we prayed for Tim's cousins wife Jackie. She has been battling cancer for just about 2 years. When we got to church later we found out that she had passed away during the night. It is very hard to understand why. But she is sitting in heaven now watching over her husband and boys. Praying right now for Jeff and the boys.
